As a member of Weyerhaeusers Wood Products IT Solutions organization, the Business Relationship Manager (BRM) will be part of a dynamic team of individuals in a fast paced environment. The BRM is the primary conduit that links the regional/WP business strategies to the IT priorities. The BRM should have a deep understanding of the business strategic goals, plans, opportunities and issues, and also help the business to understand the value propositions of global IT initiatives. The position requires strong leadership to establish effective communication and interaction with key business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment of IT services, and deliver high quality services to business. Someone who not only embraces change, but who accelerates it.*Key Functions:*Successful candidates may be expected to: * Clarify and champion use of Weyerhaeuser IT services * Align IT initiatives with Wood Products business vision and strategy as well as enterprise IT goals * The focus of this role will be on the OSB, ELP and Distribution product lines Supply Chain processes. * Educate business stakeholders about the possibilities for technology to add business value. Communicate business strategy to IT associates. * Partner with business to innovate and drive continuous improvement enabled by IT solutions * Lead opportunity development, discern true requirements and assist with alternative analysis including process changes, use of existing technologies, and new technologies * Apply risk/value techniques and business analysis expertise to determine the relative importance, priority and contribution of value specific IT opportunities * Lead, facilitate, and participate in business Champion User Networks (CUNW's) to drive site-based competency and support for key IT-based processes * Define success criteria and metrics to monitor and drive performance of IT * Influence key stakeholders, team members and peers not in your direct control, to design and deliver optimal solutions in line with the best interests and expectations of the Wood Products business * Manage and collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to deliver IT solutions * Model use of technology and share learnings * Remote candidates are acceptable * The successful candidate will have demonstrable skills and experiences including the following: * BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university * 10 years of relevant work experience with a demonstrated progression in work responsibilities * Strong knowledge of business processes, preferably in the ELP business with a Wood Products perspective * Ability to quickly build and manage IT and business relationships. Demonstrated ability to work with large cross-functional teams. Knowledge and experience partnering with both business stakeholders and senior IT professionals * Experience in leading a team through detailed process development, requirements analysis, planning, reporting and tracking. Emphasis on managing user expectations, dealing with conflicting requests, and determining the true business problem or value statement * Ability to identify opportunities for business value and process improvement, communicate strategies, and champion adoption to achieve desired results * Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations to solve a variety of problems using sound reasoning to reach conclusions * Ability to work on several projects simultaneously, balancing a wide variety of priorities while meeting deadlines * Results oriented and strives for continuous improvement. Demonstrates innovation and searches for what is possible.
